Hey guys! It's been a while. For our first entry this year, let me introduce you to the latest discovery that I learned from BDO. Thank God my UITF is still going strong. When I visited my branch a few weeks ago, I updated my accounts and the teller advised me that there's another investment that I might be interested into. It's called BDO Nomura.
What is BDO Nomura?
BDO Nomura Securities, Inc. is a joint venture between BDO Unibank and Nomura Holdings of Japan with the goal of becoming one of the premier securities brokerage firms in the Philippines by providing online trading services for local stocks to individual investors. The business also aims to provide stock brokerage services to institutional clients overseas and to eventually provide a platform to connect Filipino investors to the international stock markets.
Creating a BDO Nomura Online Trading Account
Online stock trading allows you to buy and sell stocks online (using the internet) as opposed to the usual method of giving orders through telephone via broker. This allows you to have real time access to the stock market.

- Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received via SMS.
- Click "I Agree" box in the letter instruction and consent.
- Nominate a Beneficiary Account for withdrawal process (Savings or Checking Account) from the drop down list then click Next.

2. Complete your Investor Profile and answer your Suitability Form, then click Next.
- Indicate referring Branch code (0468 - Robinsons Metro East for my branch)
- Re-type the CAPTCHA code, then click Submit.
3. Review all the details shown in the summary screen. After review, click Confirm to submit your application.
- A "Thank You" notification will appear to confirm a successful application.
4. Once approved, please expect to receive an Approval email indication your Customer Code and your assigned Trading BDO Nomura Settlement Account Number. The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will also send your PIN and other further instructions via assigned email.
I haven't tried this yet but posting this here to remind myself. If you have any questions, please visit their FAQ site here.
